Web1. Multi-Store Model (Atkinson & Shiffrin, 1968) An influential theory of memory known as the multi-store model was proposed by Richard Atkinson and Richard Shiffrin in 1968. This model suggested that information exists in one of 3 states of memory: the sensory, short-term and long-term stores. Back in 1976, Farley and Grant were among the earliest studies that came out with a theory suggesting that colours have a great effect on attention.
