Web19 mar 2024 · Star recruit Jeremy Cameron will be missing from Geelong’s season opener, the club confirmed Friday. Cameron has been ruled out as a result of a second hamstring injury after reportedly feeling the muscle tweak near the end of the club’s main training session on Thursday. Cameron was sent to hospital midway through the second half of Saturday’s game against the Bombers after a bone-crunching clash with Essendon’s Jayden Laverde in the first quarter. He was discharged from hospital on Saturday night and returned home with a hip pointer injury.
