Jeep hesitates on acceleration

It has progressively gotten worse in the last week. I thought that it had something to do with the fuel filter or possibly the pump but I didn't want to spend any undue money on something ... WebApr 1, 2013 · In the 4.0l there were some recalls for lag at low accellaration what i would do if all else fails. Pull the valve cover and tap the valves to make sure there seating all the way.
